The baby fish are now swimming in little schools and there are hundreds in this one area of the bay in front of Royal Elephant hotel. This area was completely dead 6 months ago and the bay was filled with a black sludge about two metres deep. This return of life, the first seen in ages anywhere, in the river is almost miraculous. At the previous two cleanups we dosed this area 4 times with Effective Micro-organisms EM, the sludge was sampled and the depth tested. Later we could see it starting to bubble with life and it getting thinner. Now plants are growing and the whole bay is alive again. An amazing example of change and recovery of nature to give us hope to save it.
